A light and quick alternative to the classic burger: juicy beef wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla with fresh vegetables.

Ingredients (for 2 wraps)
250 g Mercavícola ground beef
2 large whole wheat tortillas
1 egg (optional, for better texture)
½ small onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
Salt, pepper, and oregano to taste
½ avocado, sliced
4 fresh lettuce leaves
2 tomato slices
2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt or a light sauce of your choice
Preparation
Shape the patties
Mix the ground beef, onion, garlic, egg (if using), salt, pepper, and oregano.Form two thin burger patties.
Cook the patties
In a hot non-stick skillet, cook the burgers for 3–4 minutes on each side, until nicely browned and juicy.
Warm the tortillas
Heat the whole wheat tortillas for a few seconds in a skillet or microwave so they become more flexible.
Assemble the wrap
Place a lettuce leaf on the tortilla, then add the burger patty, tomato slices, avocado, and one tablespoon of Greek yogurt.
Roll and serve
Fold the edges of the tortilla and roll it like a burrito.Serve immediately.
Tips
Add spinach, cucumber, or grated carrot for a fresher wrap.
If you like some heat, add a few drops of chili sauce or jalapeño slices.
For a low-carb version, replace the tortilla with large iceberg lettuce leaves.
